Standing on the sidewalk in front of their burning home, they are happy to be alive and then realize they have…nothing.
no place to sleep
no where to go
no car (it has melted tires)
no food
no phone
no identification
no cash
no non-smoky clothes
no access to their burned home (during fire investigation)
no idea what medical, financial, and emotional challenges they are about to face
no one to help
no hope
Our Mission
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we seek to provide short term relief to victims suffering from disasters with…
nothing.
Something.
Through the generosity of many we provide something they need.
24/7
Part of the challenge of these types of personal disasters is they happen when no one seems to be available. We provide a live voice, a real person, any time of the day or night who is focused on their needs.
First Five Days
We have found the first five days are the most difficult. So we offer those items and services needed to get them back to a reasonably normal life, helping them feel confidence their family is taken care of so they can get back to work.
